Theatre Studio
Children’s illustrated graphic book into “story of two squares” by El Lissitzky was explored as a narrative text for staging a theatrical enactment through site specific installations, kinetic sculptures and pavilions

Proposal is inspired by spatial constructions of Rodchenko. A set of roasting square frames of diminishing sizes on a pivot conveys the perpetual struggle between the Red and Black squares.

Artworks of NasreenMohammedi serve as a point of departure for this proposal which envisages a set of sliding screens which convey the story thru multilevel layering in an abstracted way.

Proposal draws inspiration from Kinetic sculptures of Ives Tanguy. A set of kinetic installations convey the story of the victory of Red square over the black one thru mechanically controlled synchronized movements.
